Basmati Rice – 1 cup
1. Rinse the rice in cold water and drain.
2. Put the rice in a pan with 2 cups of water over high heat.
3. Cover the pan and bring to a boil.
4. Lower heat, cover pan partially, to prevent the water overflowing, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
5. If the rice is still moist, remove the cover and cook over low heat to allow the water to evaporate.
If using white extra long-grain or jasmine rice, use 3 cups of water to cook the rice.
