Ingredients:
Green Tomatoes – 1/2 kg, cut into big pieces
Oil – 1/4 cup
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies – 3, slit
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Mango Powder – 1/2 tsp
Sugar – a pinch
Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Method:
1. Heat the oil in a kadai.
2. Saute the cumin and fenugreek seeds.
3. When they crackle, add the tomatoes and green chillies.
4. Fry for a minute or two.
5. Add all the dry spices and sugar.
6. Cook covered for 5 to 6 minutes or till the tomato slices lose their shape.
7. Add the garlic paste and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
8. Serve hot.
