Jackfruit and Potato Curry (Aloo Kathal Tarkari) Recipe

Jackfruit – 300 gms, diced
Potatoes – 150 to 200 gms, diced
Oil – 1/2 cup
Onions – 50 gms, chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Seed Powder – 1 tsp
Tomatoes – 50 gms, chopped
Salt to taste
Water – 1 1/2 cups

1. Heat the oil in a kadai.
2. Add the jackfruit and potatoes and saute for 10 to 12 minutes and keep aside.
3. In the same oil, add the onions, ginger garlic paste and the dry spices.
4. Saute for 5 minutes.
5. Add the tomatoes and cook till the oil separates from the sides of the kadai.
6. Add the jackfruit, potatoes, salt and water.
7. Cook till the vegetables are tender.
8. Serve hot.
