Papaya Tarkari Recipe

Raw Papaya – 300 gms, diced
Oil – 2 tblsp
Panch Phoran – 2 tsp
Bayleaf – 1
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Green Chillies – 2 tsp, chopped
Tomatoes – 50 gms, chopped
Water – 1 cup
Salt to taste

1. Heat the oil in a kadai.
2. Add the panch phoran and bayleaf.
3. Let it crackle for a while.
4. Add the papaya and saute.
5. Add the turmeric powder, ginger paste, red chilli powder, green chillies and tomatoes.
6. Pour in the water and add the salt.
7. Cook till the water dries out and the papaya is cooked.
8. Serve hot.
