Ingredients:
Potatoes – 700 gms, diced
Parwars – 200 gms
Mustard Oil – 3/4 cup
Cloves – 2
Green Cardamoms – 2
Cinnamon – 1
Bayleaf – 1
Black Peppercorns – 5
Tomatoes – 4 tblsp, chopped
Salt to taste
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Water – 1 cup
Method:
1. Heat the mustard oil in a kadai.
2. Saute the potatoes and parwars.
3. Drain the excess oil and keep aside.
4. To the same oil, add the cloves, green cardamoms, cinnamon, bayleaf and black peppercorns.
5. Saute for a few seconds and then add the tomatoes.
6. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
7. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, potatoes and parwars.
8. Stir for a few seconds.
9. Add the water and cook till the potatoes are done and the water is absorbed.
10. Serve hot.
