Lamb with Chickpeas (Mangsho Ghugni)

Bengali style Lamb with Chickpeas
Ingredients:
Lamb – 200 gms, boneless pieces
Chickpeas – 1/2 cup
Oil – 5 1/2 tblsp
Onions – 1/4 cup, chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
Tomatoes – 1/4 cup, chopped
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seed Powder – 1/2 tsp
Water – 1 1/2 cups
Green Coriander – 1 tsp

Method:
1. Soak the chickpeas in water overnight.
2. Boil them till soft.
3. Heat the oil in a pan.
4. Add the onions, ginger garlic paste, tomatoes and the lamb pieces.
5. Cook till the lamb is done.
6. Add the chickpeas along with the water in which they were boiled.
7. Let the mixture come to a boil.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. Remove and serve hot.
