Masala Tofu Burger


Small Burger Buns (or toasted Bread Slices) – 10
Tofu – 1 packet
Tomato Sauce – 3 tblsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Garam Masala – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Soya Flour – 1 tblsp
Butter – 1 tblsp
Cabbage – 50 gms
Lettuce – 50 gms
Tomato – 2
Onion – 1

1. Slice the bun horizontally into half.
2. Apply butter and toast it on a hot tawa.
3. Cut tofu into broad thin squares.
4. Mix tomato sauce, chilli powder, salt, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder together.
5. Marinate tofu in it for 10 minutes.
6. Sprinkle soya flour on tofu and toast it using butter on a hot tawa.
7. Cut cabbage and lettuce into big squares and separate into layers.
8. Slice tomato and onion into thin slices.
9. Apply tomato sauce on one half of the bun, place one lettuce leaf, tofu slice, onion and tomato on top of the other.
10. Keep the other half of the bun on top and pierce it with a tooth pick.
11. Serve with tomato sauce.
