Turmeric Rice Recipe

Ingredients:
Rice – 1 cup
Oil – 2 tblsp
Panch Phoran – 1 1/2 tsp
Red Chillies – 2, dried
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp

For Garnish:
Paneer – 50 gms, diced
Coriander Leaves – 1 tblsp, chopped

Method:
1. Wash rice and soak in water for 15 minutes.
2. Drain.
3. Heat oil in a heavy-based pan over moderate heat.
4. Sprinkle panch phoran and when it splutters, add drained rice, chillies and turmeric.
5. Stir till translucent.
6. Mix in salt and 2 cups water.
7. Cook rice in a pressure cooker.
8. Garnish with paneer and coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.

    You can use standard Britannia cheese that you get in the super market.
