Dry Mutton Curry

Ingredients:
Mutton or Lamb – 650 gms, cubed
Water – 1 cup
Garlic Paste – 1/2 tsp
Ginger Paste – 1/2 tsp
Peppercorns – 8
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Yogurt – 2 cups, beaten
Oil – 1/3 cup

For Garnish:
Lettuce – few

Method:
1. Put the water in a pan.
2. Add the garlic and ginger pastes, peppercorns, red chilli powder and salt.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Add the meat, cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
5. Stir in the yogurt.
6. Cook without the lid for 15 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.
7. Heat the oil in another pan.
8. Add the meat and saute till golden and fully tender.
9. Transfer to a serving dish.
10. Garnish with lettuce.
11. Serve hot.
