Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Red Chillies – 3 to 4
Fry in 1 tsp Ghee and Powder:
Cumin Seeds – 2 tsp
1. Heat oil, add seasonings and when done, add onion and fry till browned, adding turmeric powder.
2. Add tomatoes, continue to fry on low heat till they have become soft.
3. Add salt and sugar, very little water, cover vessel and allow to simmer for 5 to 7 minutes or till tomatoes have cooked to chutney consistency.
4. Add fried cumin powder, mix and remove from fire.
5. Serve hot.
Tip: Keep it refrigerated and it will stay good for a week.
