Spaghetti with Peas

Spaghetti – 2 cups, boiled
Peas – 1 cup, boiled
Butter – 2 tblsp
Bread Crumbs – 1 to 1 1/2 tblsp
Cheese – 1 cup, grated
Salt to taste

For White Sauce:
Butter – 3 tblsp
Flour – 2 tblsp
Milk – 3 to 4 cups
Herbs – a large pinch
Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste

1. Leave cooked spaghetti in cold water till required.
2. To prepare white sauce, melt butter, add flour and fry till it turns to a light pink. Add milk gradually, stirring all the while so that no lumps are formed.
3. Add pepper powder, salt and herbs.
4. Mix well.
5. Drain out the cold water from spaghetti, add to white sauce along with cooked peas and 3/4 cup of cheese.
6. Add some salt if required.
7. Grease a casserole dish, pour the above mixture into it, even out surface, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Dot with butter.
8. Bake at 190C for about 20 to 25 minutes till the cheese has melted and light brown layer has formed on top.
9. Serve hot.
