Muli ka Sag – 2 to 3 cups, chopped
Onion – 1, large, chopped
Garlic – 6 to 8 flakes, crushed
Green Chillies – 3 to 4, minced
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
Oil – 1 1/2 tblsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Asafoetida – a pinch
Juice of 1 Lemon

1. Boil sag with just enough water.
2. When cooked, cool and mash the leaves.
3. Heat oil, add seasonings and when done, add the onion, garlic and green chillies.
4. Fry till onion is browned.
5. Add cooked sag, turmeric powder and salt.
6. Stir fry for a while till well blended.
7. Add lemon juice and remove from fire.
8. Serve hot with chapathis.
