Greens with Moong Dal Recipe

Ingredients:
Moong Dal – 1/2 cup
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Mixed Greens – 4 cups, chopped
Oil – 1 1/2 tblsp
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Chilli or Pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

Chop very fine:
Ginger – 1/2 inch piece
Onion – 1, medium
Garlic – 3 cloves
Green Chillies – 3 to 4

Method:
1. Wash dal, add 1 1/2 cups water, turmeric powder and set to boil.
2. Halfway through boiling, add greens, ginger, green chillies and salt.
3. Simmer till dal is cooked.
4. Heat oil, add cumin seeds, when done, add garlic and onion.
5. Fry till browned.
6. Add chilli or pepper powder, stir once, pour into cooked dal-sag mixture, boil for 1 to 2 minute more.
7. Serve hot with rice or chapathi.
