Ingredients:
Green Chillies – 50 gms
Tamarind – 1 lemon sized ball
Jaggery – 1 large piece
Oil – 3 tblsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste

For Seasoning:
Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs

Method:
1. Wash, cut chillies into 3 to 4 pieces each.
2. Boil tamarind in water and take out pulp. Set aside.
3. Heat oil, add seasonings.
4. When done, add curry leaves and green chillies.
5. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes, adding turmeric powder.
6.  When chillies have become soft, add tamarind pulp, jaggery, salt, 1/2 cup of water and cook on low heat till chutney consistency.
7. Serve with curd rice.
