Vagharelo Bhaat Recipe

Ingredients:
Basmati Rice – 350 gms
Potatoes – 2, diced
Green Peas – 1 cup
Carrots – 1 cup, diced
Cloves – 3
Cinnamon – 2 sticks
Black Cardamom Seeds – 1
Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies – 3, finely chopped
Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Ghee – 45 gms
Curry Leaves – a few
Salt as required

Method:
1. Wash and drain the rice.
2. Heat the ghee.
3. Add the cloves, cinnamon, cumin seeds, cardamom seeds and curry leaves.
4. Add the vegetables and salt and stir for 5 minutes.
5. Add rice, turmeric powder, chillies, chilli powder and 750ml of water.
6. Pressure cook for 5 minutes.
7. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
8. Serve hot with kadhi and papad.
