Verkadalai Podi (Peanut Powder) Recipe

Sesame Seeds – 1/2 cup
Dry Red Chillies – 15
Asafoetida Powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Peanuts – 2 cups, roasted
Salt to taste

1. Dry roast the sesame seeds.
2. Fry the red chillies and asafoetida powder in oil.
3. Powder fine the red chillies and the asafoetida powder.
4. Add the sesame seeds and grind fine.
5. Finally add the peanuts. Powder coarsely. Mix in the salt.
6. Serve hot with rice and ghee.
