Ingredients:
Drumsticks – 4
Onions – 3 tblsp, finely chopped
Tomatoes – 3 to 4 tblsp, finely chopped
Oil for frying
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Dhania Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Salt as required
Red Chilli Powder – 3/4 tsp
Grind to a coarse paste:
Fresh Coconut – 2 tblsp, grated
Onion – 1, big
Aniseed – 3/4 tsp
Method:
1. Cut drumstick into 2 inch pieces.
2. Heat oil in a kadai, add aniseeds, curry leaves and then chopped onions.
3. Fry for a few minutes and then add chopped tomatoes.
4. Stir in medium flame for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add drumsticks and fry for 3-4 minutes.
6. Add dhania powder, turmeric, salt, chilli powder and mix well.
7. Pour just enough water to cover the pieces and close with a lid.
8. When it is half cooked, add ground mixture and cook till dry.
