500 gms Prawns, cleaned, shelled and deveined
1 lime sized ball of Tamarind
2 medium Onions
1 tblsp Coriander seeds
1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
8 Red Chillies
a few Curry leaves
Salt to taste
1. Cover tamarind with 2 cups of hot water and then squeeze out the pulp.
2. Fry rest of the ingredients except prawns in a little oil and grind the mixture to a paste.
3. Heat tamarind, add prawns and ground paste and cook till the prawns are done.
