Sev or Ganthia – 1 cup
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/4 tsp
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 2 to 3 pinches
Amchoor – 1/4 tsp
Dhania powder – 1/4 tsp
Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1/2 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Water as needed

1. Dissolve all dry masala in 1 cup water.
2. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida in heated oil and allow to cook.
3. Then add the masala mix and simmer for about 3 to 4 minutes.
4. Add sugar or ganthia or sev.
5. Stir continuously, use chopped coriander to garnish.
6. Best served with roti.
