Chicken Chettinad

Ingredients
 1 medium chicken (1 kg cut into pieces)
 1 cup hung curd
 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
 Salt, red chilli powder & black pepper (to taste)
 1/2 tsp garam masala
 1/2 tsp chat masala

For masala gravy
 1 cup onion (chopped)
 1 cup tomato (chopped)
 2 green chillies (chopped)
 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
 1 tsp garam masala
 2 tbsp oil
 Salt and black pepper powder (to taste)
 1 tsp mustard seeds
 10 – 12 curry leaves
 2 dry red chillies
 A pinch of asafoetida (heeng)

Method
1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade and add chicken. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
2. In a microwave safe bowl microwave oil at 100% power for 30 secs.
3. Add mustard seeds, red chillies and curry leaves. Microwave at 100% power for 2 mins.
4. Add chopped onions and microwave for 4 mins at 100% power.
5. Add chopped tomatoes & chillies and microwave for 4 mins at 100% power. Stir in between
6. Add marinated chicken and microwave (covered) at 100% power for 7 – 8 mins. Reposition frequently.
7. Allow to stand for 5 mins. before serving
8. Serve with hot naan, paratha or rice.
