Machli Begum Bahar


Boneless fish pieces marinated in a mixture of vinegar, ginger garlic paste and fried until golden brown. Best served with a salad or potato chips.

Machli Begum Bahar (Fish with Pepper and Vinegar)

Any Fresh Water Fish – 1 kg, de-boned and cut into 2 inch pieces
Vinegar – 2 tblsp
Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblsp
Eggs – 2, beaten
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Bread Crumbs as required

1. Marinate the fish with ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, vinegar and salt.
2. Keep it aside for one hour.
3. Dip each piece of marinated fish in the beaten egg, roll it on bread crumbs and deep fry until golden brown.
4. Serve hot with potato chips.
