Butter Cake Recipe

Flour – 1/2 kg
Eggs – 8
Sugar – 1/2 kg
Butter or margarine – 1/2 kg
Baking powder – 4 tsp
Vanilla essence – 2 tsp

1. Sieve flour and baking powder 3 times.
2. Cream butter and sugar well till soft and creamy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time and beat well.
4. Lightly fold in flour and Add vanilla.
5. Pour into a greased baking tray and bake for about 45-50 minutes or till done.
6. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire tray.
