Tomato Peanut Chutney Recipe

A delicious and easy to make chutney side dish for idlis or dosas with tomatoes and peanuts.
Tomato Peanut Chutney

Ingredients:
Roasted Peanuts – 2 cups
Tomatoes – 2 cups, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 8 to 10, chopped
Red Chillies – 8 to 10, chopped
Cumin Seeds – 2 tsp
Urad Dal – 2 tsp
Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp
Garlic – 4 to 5 cloves, chopped
Curry Leaves – few (optional)
Salt as per taste
Oil – 3 to 4 tblsp

Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan over medium flame.
2. Fry the cumin seeds for 30 seconds.
3. Add the green chillies, tomatoes, garlic and red chillies.
4. Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
5. Remove and transfer to a mixie.
6. Add peanuts, little salt and sprinkle some water.
7. Grind to a thick paste.
8. Heat little oil in a frying pan.
9. Fry the mustard seeds, curry leaves and urad dal for 30 seconds.
10. Pour this over the chutney and mix.
11. Serve with idli or dosa.

Tip: Adjust the chillies as per taste.

    You can use standard Britannia cheese that you get in the super market.
