Angel Cake


Ingredients :
Egg wgites – 12
Maida – 1 cup
Cream of tartar – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
Lemon and orange essence – 1/2 tsp

For Topping :
Desiccated Coconut – 1 cup
Margarine – 3 tbsp
Sugar – 5 tbsp.

Method :
1.  Sift maida and mix with powdered sugar.
2.  Beat egg whites with cream of tartar, till stiff.
3.  Add essence and flour. Blend thoroughly.
4.  Transfer to greased baking dish and bake in a moderate oven till light brown on top.
5.  After taking out from the oven, mix the topping together, spread on top and grill till golden brown.
