150 gm jackfruit pieces (with seeds)
1/2 cup gram dal (channa dal)
2 large cardamoms
2 small cinnamon sticks
2 tablespoons gram flour
1/2 teaspoon chilly powder
oil for frying
salt to taste
Chop very fine:
2-3 garlic cloves
1/2 inch piece ginger
1. Boil the jackfruit pieces and dal with very little water. Grind to a smooth paste with the cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon and salt.
2. Add the chopped ingredients as well as the turmeric and chilly powders, and mix thoroughly.
3. Form cylindrical kababs, roll in gram flour and deep fry.
