Ingredients:
2 green banans (plantains)
1 bay leaf
2 teaspoons chopped coriander
3/4 tablespoon gram flour
salt to taste
oil for frying

To be ground:
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1/2 tablespoon cumin powder
1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon chilly powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
a pinch of amchoor

Method:
1. Peel and cut the bananas into small pieces (0.25 inch thick and 1.5 inch long)
2. Grind the masala. Add the salt, gram flour and coriander leaves, and mix well. Smear the banana pieces with this masala.
3. Heat the oil, add the bay leaves and fry. Add the banana pieces, and fry on low heat turning occasionally. If necessary, sprinkle some water, cover the vessel and cook until done.
