Red Onion Chutney Recipe

Big onions – 4 or 5
Red Chillies – 15 – 20
Tamarind – gooseberry sized
Rock salt – 1 tbl sp (heaped)
Sugar – 1 tsp (optional)

For seasoning:
Oil – 2 tbl sps
Mustard seeds – 1/4 tsp

1. Soak chillies in water for 15 minutes
2. Chop Onions into 1 inch square pieces
3. Squeeze chillies from water and grind it with salt, tamarind and sugar.
4. Add onions at the end and grind coarsely.
5. Heat oil, add mustard seeds and when it splutters mix with chutney.
