Ingredients

Rice –  1 cup
Water –  1 1/2 cups or 2 for soft rice.

Note:  To prepare one cup of rice (Separate)

Method

1. Add water to washed rice and place it in the separator of a pressure cooker or directly in the cooker.
2.   Place the weight on the cooker when the stream comes out freely from the chimney.
3.  cook the rice in the cooker for 2 or 3 whistles, until it is done.
4.  serve hot.

If you use regular pot instead of pressure cooker, it takes about 15 minutes.
To steam the rice is also an option. But then you need to soak it in advance.
