A healthy and nutritious Rajasthani recipe that is rich protein, iron and fibre.
Ingredients:
Bajra (Kambu) – 1 cup, cleaned
Split Green Gram – 1/2 cup
CUmin Seeds – 1 tsp
Cloves – 2
Ginger – 2 tsp, grated
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Green Chillies – 2
Curry Leaves – few
Ghee – 3 tblsp
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Dry roast the bajra and green gram in a pan.
2. Add enough water and turmeric powder.
3. Pressure cook till mushy.
4. Heat ghee in a pan.
5. Fry the cumin seeds, cloves, ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.
6. Add to the bajra mixture.
7. Add salt and mix well.
8. Serve.
