Raw Peanut Thuvaiyal

Thuvaiyal (or Thogaiyal) is a popular South Indian, especially in Tamil Nadu, variation of chutney often served with rice or tiffen items. This variation uses raw peanuts and can be served with any tiffen varieties.

Ingredients:

  • Peanut – 1/2 cup
  • Fried gram – 1 tblsp
  • Garlic – 2 cloves
  • Green Chilly – 1
  • Cashew Nuts – 4
  • Salt to Taste

Method:

  1. Soak the cashews in water for 10 minutes.
  2. Grind all the ingredients in a mixer with little water.
  3. Do not grind into smooth paste.
  4. This can be served for all kinds of tiffen varieties.
