Ingredients

  • 1 cup Moong Dal - 1 cup soaked and ground coarsely
  • 1 tsp Coconut - 1 tsp grated
  • 3 Green Chillies - 3
  • a pinch Cooking Soda - a pinch
  • little Mustard Seeds - little
  • few Curry Leaves - few
  • little Bengal Gram Dal - little
  • little Urad Dal - little
  • few Coriander Leaves - few
  • as required Oil as required
  • as per taste Salt as per taste

Instructions

  • Add salt, cooking soda to the ground dal and mix well.
  • Transfer to a greased plate and steam cook in a pressure cooker.
  • Remove and cut into small squares.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Fry the curry leaves, mustard seeds, bengal gram dal, urad dal and chopped green chillies.
  • Saute for a minute or two.
  • Add the dhoklas, coconut and coriander leaves.
  • Gently mix well and transfer to a serving plate.
  • Serve with chutney or sauce.
