Indian Food Bloggers to watch in 2014

Promising Bloggers of 2014 There are, literally, thousands of bloggers who talk about Indian food. As part of our year-end content, previously we published the Top 30 Indian Food Bloggers of 2013. We also came across many bloggers who have been doing some fantastic stuff in the last year or so and were quite impressed with what we saw. Our original list of promising bloggers was around 85 and after filtering through we narrowed it down to 25 and then 30. Unlike the previous compilation, we reached out to each blogger and asked them to describe in their own words about their blog – why it was started and what is the blog about. Below is the result of that effort. It is by no means a complete listing of what we set out to do as some of the bloggers have not yet responded.

But if you have a suggestion or would like to recommend a food blogger, please do so by leaving a comment or sending an email.

If your website is listed below, feel free to copy this badge and showcase it on your site.

The list is in no particular order. Here are the foodies to keep an eye on in 2014.

When did you start the website and Why?: simply.food is a vegetarian food blog that was created 5 years ago as a place to collect my recipes so that my daughters could access them, however as its popularity grew so did my interest in regular posting. I am a real foodie, so at simply.food I am able share everything I create, cook and click – all the three things that I am very passionate about. The name simply.food seemed apt for the blog because that is exactly what my blog is all about “simply food”. All the recipes I share on my blog are ones that I cook on a regular basis for my family and friends.
How would you describe your Website: A vegetarian kitchen dedicated to “simple” home cooking. Recipes which are tried and tested, producing simply sensational mouth watering dishes. Easy step by step instructions all accompanied by original colourful photographs.

himanshu_taneja

Himanshu Taneja (https://www.thewhiteramekins.com)
When did you start the website and Why?: I started my blog in April 2011, with an intention to express my love towards baking and since then I have never looked back. And now I have developed interest in food styling and photography as well, as I believe that the food should look as provocative as good is the recipe. It was a Sunday afternoon of hot and scorching Indian summers, and as usual me and my friend were trying out some baking experiment at home. Luckily it went through and we were so overwhelmed by our creation {amateurs without any formal training in the art of baking}. It was when The White Ramekins originated out of that sheer excitement and joy. Since then I have been loving every moment of baking, taking those shots and sharing them up here.
How would you describe your Website: The White Ramekins is a place where I share my experiences with the recipes which I come across by means of various cookbooks, blogs, newspaper articles etc. Some of those experiences fail and some survive and those which survive get a life here on this site.
