Chanticleer Cocktail

This drink was apparently created, prior to 1917, to celebrate the opening of a Manhattan restaurant of the same name.

Ingredients:

• 1 ounce gin
• 1 ounce dry vermouth
• 1/2 ounce triple sec
• Orange twist, for garnish

Method:

1. Pour the gin, vermouth, and triple sec into a mixing glass two-thirds full of ice cubes.
2. Stir well.
3. Strain into a chilled Cocktail glass.
4. Add the orange twist.
5. Serve
