This is a traditional drink from Cuba. Complementing rum with a perfect balance of sweet and dry vermouths and a dash of orange essence, the Presidente has all the credentials of a fine martini-esque cocktail.
Ingredients:
- Light Rum – 1 1/2 ounces
- Dry Vermouth – 1/2 ounce
- Sweet Vermouth – 1/2 ounce
- Triple Sec – 1/4 ounce
- Orange twist
- Maraschino Cherry
Method:
- Stir the liquid ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Run the orange peel around the rim, twist it over the drink and drop it in along with the cherry.
- Serve.
