Presidente Recipe

This is a traditional drink from Cuba. Complementing rum with a perfect balance of sweet and dry vermouths and a dash of orange essence, the Presidente has all the credentials of a fine martini-esque cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • Light Rum – 1 1/2 ounces
  • Dry Vermouth – 1/2 ounce
  • Sweet Vermouth – 1/2 ounce
  • Triple Sec – 1/4 ounce
  • Orange twist
  • Maraschino Cherry

Method:

  1. Stir the liquid ingredients in a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  3. Run the orange peel around the rim, twist it over the drink and drop it in along with the cherry.
  4. Serve.
