Rum and Tonic


The classic summer combination goes to the beach and gets a splash of equatorial spirits. This drink is at its best when made with a good quality dark rum from Jamaica, Bermuda or Haiti.


  • Dark Rum – 2 ounces
  • Tonic Water – 3 to 4 ounces, chilled
  • Lime Wedge


  1. Pour the liquid ingredients into an ice-filled highball glass.
  2. Stir well.
  3. Run the lime wedge around the rim.
  4. Squeeze it over the drink and drop it in.
  5. Serve.
