There are two ways to enjoy the matador. One is a straight-forward version served on the rocks, and the other is a lush frozen elaboration with the additional perk of orange liqueur. Both are pleasantly charged with tanginess.
Ingredients for On the Rocks Version:
- Gold Tequila – 1 1/2 ounces
- Pineapple Juice – 3 ounces
- Fresh Lime Juice – 1/2 ounce
Method:
- Shake the ingredients vigorously with ice.
- Strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass.
- Serve.
Ingredients for the Frozen Version:
- Gold Tequila – 2 ounces
- Triple sec – 1/4 ounce
- Fresh Pineapple Chunks – 1/4 cup
- Fresh Lime Juice – 1/2 ounce
Method:
- Combine all the ingredients in a blender with 1/2 cup crushed ice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a chilled highball glass.
