There are two ways to enjoy the matador. One is a straight-forward version served on the rocks, and the other is a lush frozen elaboration with the additional perk of orange liqueur. Both are pleasantly charged with tanginess.

Ingredients for On the Rocks Version:

  • Gold Tequila – 1 1/2 ounces
  • Pineapple Juice – 3 ounces
  • Fresh Lime Juice – 1/2 ounce


  1. Shake the ingredients vigorously with ice.
  2. Strain into an ice-filled old-fashioned glass.
  3. Serve.

Ingredients for the Frozen Version:

  • Gold Tequila – 2 ounces
  • Triple sec – 1/4 ounce
  • Fresh Pineapple Chunks – 1/4 cup
  • Fresh Lime Juice – 1/2 ounce


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender with 1/2 cup crushed ice.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a chilled highball glass.
  4. Serve
