For most people, Bombay, in drinking terms, is associated with Bombay gin, but this powerful cocktail must have raised a few eyebrows during the heady days of the British Raj.

Ingredients:

  • Brandy – 2 parts
  • Dry Vermouth – 1 part
  • Sweet Vermouth – 1 part
  • Anisette – 1/4 tsp
  • Triple Sec – 1/2 tsp
  • Ice Cubes

Method:

  1. Quarter-fill a mixing glass with ice.
  2. Add the ingredients and stir well.
  3. Strain into a chilled Martini glass.
  4. Serve un-garnished.
