By | Published , Last Updated on | Cocktails | No Comment

No one knows where, when, how or why this cocktail got it name: the only coffee that is involved in its mixing are the beans that are applied as the garnish before the cocktail is served.

  • Brandy – 3 parts
  • Port – 1 part
  • Egg Yolk –1
  • Sugar – 1 tsp, per glass
  • Ice Cubes
  • Coffee Beans to garnish

  1. Half fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the brandy, port, sugar and egg yolk.
  3. Shake well.
  4. Strain into an old-fashioned glass or a cocktail glass.
  5. Float a few roasted coffee beans on top to garnish.
  6. Serve.

Note: Instead of coffee beans, you can also use grated nutmeg to garnish.
