Grenadier Recipe

This is one of the few cocktails where the specific use of Cognac is often stipulated. Traditionally the cocktail is always served ungarnished. The name of the cocktail is derived from the grenadine in the drink.

Ingredients:

  • Cognac – 1 part
  • Ginger Wine – 1 part
  • Grenadine – 3 dashes
  • Ice Cubes

Method:

  1. Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.
  2. Add the cognac and ginger wine finishing off with the dashes of grenadine.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Strain into a cocktail glass.
  5. Serve.
