One of the predecessors of the Martini, the Martinez is a much sweeter drink than the modern-dry Martini.
Ingredients:
- Old Tom Gin – 2 ounces
- Sweet Vermouth – 1/2 ounce
- Maraschino Liqueur – 1/4 ounce
- Dash of Orange bitters
Method:
- Shake the ingredients vigorously with ice.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Serve.
