Chelsea Sidecar Recipe

Also known as the Chelsea Hotel or Gin Sidecar, this is a signature drink from the Chelsea Hotel in New York. A variation on the classic Sidecar, the Chelsea version replaces the Cognac with gin.


  • Gin – 2 ounces
  • Cointreau – 3/4 ounce
  • Fresh Lemon Juice – 1/2 ounce
  • Lemon Twist


  1. Rub the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with the lemon peel.
  2. Shake the liquid ingredients vigorously with ice.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with the lemon twist.
