This light, refreshing cocktail is a snap to make. With the addition of premium brandy and Grand Marnier, no one will ever guess you used canned fruit.
Ingredients:
2 cups ice
6 canned purple plums, drained and pitted (15-ounce can)
1 cup drained canned mandarin orange sections (11-ounce can)
1 ½ ounces premium brandy
1 ½ ounces Grand Marnier
Juice of ½ lemon
Method:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Cover and pulse on and off until the mixture starts to swirl evenly.
3. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until the drink is completely smooth.
Variations
Apricot Plum Party Freeze: Omit the mandarin orange segments. Add 6 canned apricots, pitted and drained, before blending.
Christmas Plum Pudding Freeze: Add 1 ½ ounces cherry liqueur (such as Heering), a few extra ice cubes, and ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon before blending.
Cranberry Plum Party Freeze: Omit the mandarin orange segments. Add 1 cup canned cranberry sauce before blending.
Currant Plum Party Freeze: Omit the brandy and Grand Marnier. Add 3 ounces currant vodka before blending.
Pineapple Plum Party Freeze: Omit the mandarin orange segments. Add 1 cup drained canned crushed pineapple before blending.
