In legend, pirates only drank rum. But had Captain Hook had a blender, he might have made one of these and given Peter Pan a break.
Ingredients:
2 cups ice
3 ounces spiced rum
2 ounces vanilla liqueur
1 kiwi, peeled and quartered
1 banana, peeled and broken in pieces
4 strawberries, hulled
Juice of ½ lime
Method:
1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Cover and pulse on and off until the mixture starts to swirl evenly.
3. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until the drink is completely smooth.
Variations
Pirates In Paris Omit the vanilla liqueur. Add 2 ounces crème de cassis before blending.
Pirates In Tahiti Omit the spiced rum. Add 3 ounces coconut rum (such as Malibu) before blending.
Pirates Sundae Reduce the ice to 1 cup. Add 1 cup vanilla ice cream before blending.
