Honeydew Daiquiri Recipe

Make this drink with the sweetest melon you can find. Smell it before you buy it. Chances are if it smells sweet, it will taste sweet.

Ingredients:

2 cups ice
1 cup honeydew balls or small cubes, semi-frozen
3 ounces white rum
2 ounces melon liqueur (such as Midori)
2 teaspoons superfine sugar
Juice of 2 limes

Method:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Cover and pulse on and off until the mixture starts to swirl evenly.
3. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until the drink is completely smooth.

Variations

Fuzzy Melon Daiquiri Omit the melon liqueur. Add 2 ounces peach schnapps before blending.

Honey Honeydew Daiquiri Omit the sugar. Add 2 teaspoons honey before blending.

Lychee Honeydew Daiquiri Add 4 drained canned lychees before blending. For a slushier drink, semi-freeze the drained lychees before making this drink.

Mango Melon Daiquiri Omit the honeydew. Add 1 cup chopped mango before blending. For a slushier drink, semi-freeze the chopped mango before making this drink.

Orange Melon Daiquiri Omit the melon liqueur. Add 2 ounces triple sec before blending.
