Cherries Jubilation Recipe

By | Published , Last Updated on | Cocktails | No Comment

Call me old-fashioned, but I still serve cherries jubilee at dinner parties. So it seemed a natural to turn this delicious desert into a party drink. It’s best made with fresh sweet cherries, but frozen will do in a pinch.

12 large, sweet cherries, pitted
1 cup Ice
½ cup vanilla ice cream
1 ounce brandy
1 ½ ounces cherry liqueur

1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.
2. Cover and pulse on and off until the mixture starts to swirl evenly.
3. Blend on high for 20 seconds, or until the drink is completely smooth.

Cherry Pie Jubilation Add 3 crumbled graham crackers before blending.
Chocolate Cherries Jubilation Omit the vanilla ice cream. Add ½ cup chocolate ice cream before blending.
Grand Cherries Jubilation Omit the brandy. Add 1 ounce Grand Marnier before blending.
Nutty Cherry Jubilation Add ½ ounce almond liqueur (such as crème de noya or amaretto) before blending.
Spiced Cherries Jubilation Add ½ ounce ginger liqueur (such as the Original Canton) before blending.

Zero-Proof Variation

Cherry Jubilee Smoothie Omit the brandy and cherry liqueur. Add 2 ounces cherry syrup and ½ teaspoon artificial rum flavor (optional) before blending.

You can use standard Britannia cheese that you get in the super market.
