This clear, golden refresher is named for the Edwardian beauty, actress Lillie Langtry (1952-1929). Whether the most famous of her lovers, the prince of Wales (later king Edward Vll), enjoyed it too, history does not record.
1 glass sparkling apple juice
Sugar to taste
1 dash Angostura bitters
Maraschino cherry and apple slices, to decorate
1. Mix a little sugar into the apple juice, add the bitters and ice cubes and stir until well frosted.
2. Strain into a chilled glass. Spear thin slice of apple and cherry on a cocktail stick to garnish or simply drop the cherry into the bottom of the glass.
