Blended whiskey is best suited to cocktails-single malts should always be drunk neat or simply with a little added mineral water. However, a throat-burning, harsh blend will make a mixture closer to rocket fuel than a cocktail and no amount of additional flavors will improve it.
INGREDIENT:
4-6 cracked ice cubes
Dash of Angostura bitters
2 measures scotch whiskey
1 measure sweet vermouth
Cocktail olive- to decorate
METHOD:
1. Put the cracked ice cubes into a glass.
2. Dash Angostura bitters over the ice. Pour the whiskey and vermouth over the ice.
3. Stir well to mix and strain into a chilled glass. Decorate with cocktail olive.
