A lovely creamy concoction that is popular as an after-dinner cocktail. The original was the Alexander, a gin-based drink.
1 measure brandy
1 measure dark crème de cacao
1 measure double cream
Grated nutmeg, to decorate
1. Shake the brandy, crème de cacao and cream vigorously over the ice and shake until well frosted.
2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and dress with a sprinkling of grated nutmeg.
